Here’s a step-by-step overview of how we assist you from registration to real-time reporting.
- GIFT AID REGISTRATION: If your organisation is not registered for Gift Aid, GoodtoGive will register your charity and become your Gift Aid collection agent. We will then liaise with HMRC on your behalf during audits and deal with any queries that may arise. If your charity is already registered for Gift Aid, we will need to amend your registration to include us as your agent.
- SCANNER SETUP: GoodtoGive will provide a scanner and specially designed receipt book to capture your valid donations and Gift Aid declarations. All your donation information is scanned into our system for easy tracking.
- DONATION INFORMATION MANAGEMENT: Our system accepts donation information via receipts, envelopes, journals, bank statements, spreadsheets, and our mobile apps (available for Andriod and Apple devices) If you have other donation methods, we can customise our system to suit your needs.
- GIFT AID MAXIMISATION: All donations that qualify for Gift Aid are processed immediately. Any donations that do not qualify at the time will wait within the system for unlocking information to appear, this is a loop that continues until new information comes along to unlock the potential Gift Aid. These unprocessed donations remain active in our system for the entire 4-year retrospective claiming period or (2 years if the donation falls under the Gift Aid Small Donations Scheme GASDS). As we receive the completed information on those donations, the claims are processed which unlocks the old donations/claims. This process ensures that we are always maximising your Gift Aid claims and ensuring you don’t miss out on a penny.
- LIAISING WITH HMRC: Processed donations are submitted to HMRC. Once HMRC settles the claim, clients receive payment in the first week of the following month.
- AUTOMATIC REALTIME REPORTS: All information is available on your personalised microsite web portal provided by GoodtoGive. You will be able to view claim status, unclaimed reports, financial summaries, donations, declarations and your repayments.
- MOBILE APPS: GoodtoGive provides a digital platform through our mobile apps, enabling online donations, event creation, instant sharing of information with your community, and report generation.
